Takeda Nobukatsu was the son of a Japanese daimyo of the Sengoku period, Takeda Katsuyori. He is said to have volunteered before his grandmother after the death of his grandfather Takeda Shingen and led a troop. In addition, he has repeatedly sought the reconciliation with Oda Nobunaga. After the defeat of his father Katsuyori, the son of Takeda Shingen in the Nagashino battle, Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi marched into the Takaya government headquarters in Kofu.
